- Brokers are independent inspectors approved by a regional stone or tile association. You choose which jobs to accept.
- You're paid per square foot (or per machine) for every completed inspection — match or discrepancy — every week.
- Inspect in person, report truthfully, and never accept anything from a seller or buyer.
- The app uses your location only while you're on an accepted job.
1. These terms
These terms apply when you register and work as an inspection broker through the QwikStone broker app at broker.qwikstone.com. They are an agreement between you and Qwikstone Technologies Private Limited, together with the Terms of use and the Privacy policy.
Broker registration opens by region. Until it opens in your area you can join the waitlist; joining the waitlist doesn't create an agreement or guarantee approval.
2. Your status
You work as an independent contractor, not as an employee, agent or partner of QwikStone. You decide whether to accept a job, and how to organise your work within these terms. You are responsible for your own taxes, registrations (for example GST where it applies to you), travel, equipment and insurance.
3. Eligibility and approval
- You must be at least 18, hold a current approval letter from a recognised regional marble, granite, stone or tile association, and have the experience to grade and measure slabs and tiles (or machinery, for machinery jobs).
- You must complete registration with true information, pass our checks and short training, use two-step sign-in, and have a bank account in your own name for payouts.
- We may decline or remove approval if your association approval lapses, your information is false, or your reports aren't reliable.
4. Jobs
- Jobs are offered to approved brokers within the area and distance you set. You see the yard, the stock, the area to inspect and your fee before you accept. The first broker to accept gets the job.
- Once you accept, visit within the time shown (normally within 72 hours of the order) during the yard's opening hours. If you can't make it, release the job in the app as early as possible so it can be offered to someone else.
- Decline any job where you have a conflict of interest — for example a family, business or financial connection with the seller or buyer, or a previous dispute with them.
5. Inspection and reports
- Inspect in person at the yard. Check the scan or QR code at the yard to confirm your visit.
- Follow the app's checklist: count the slabs or boxes, measure length, width and thickness, check finish, edges, cracks, resin, colour and batch against the listing and slab sheet, and photograph what the checklist asks for.
- Your report must be true, complete and based on what you saw. Mark the result as a match or a discrepancy, and describe any difference and how much it affects the stock.
- Photos must be taken during the visit, unedited. Don't use photos from other jobs, the internet or the seller.
- Keep the details of jobs, yards, prices and orders confidential, and use them only to do the job.
6. Conduct
- Never ask for or accept money, gifts, hospitality or favours from sellers, buyers or anyone connected with a job. Report any offer to QwikStone.
- Don't negotiate prices, offer to arrange deals outside QwikStone, or share buyers' or sellers' details.
- Follow the yard's safety rules, wear appropriate safety equipment, and don't handle or move slabs yourself unless it's safe and the yard agrees.
- Be respectful to yard staff, sellers and buyers.
7. Fees and payment
- You're paid the fee shown for each job you complete with a full report, whether the result is a match or a discrepancy, and even if the buyer later cancels. Fees are paid per square foot inspected (₹2 per sq ft in India; rates in other countries are shown in the app) or per machine.
- Payouts are made every week to your verified bank account, with a statement of jobs and fees. We may withhold payment for a job if the report is incomplete or found to be false.
- Fee rates may change with notice in the app; you always see the fee before you accept a job.
8. Location and data
While you are travelling to and at the yard for an accepted job, the broker app records your device's location so the seller and buyer can see the visit is on its way and so we can confirm it happened. Location isn't collected when you're not on an active job. Your name, rating and the reports you file are shown to the seller and buyer of each order. See the Privacy policy for how long we keep this data and your rights.
9. Ratings and quality
Buyers and sellers may rate each inspection. Ratings and the accuracy of your reports affect which jobs you're offered. We may review your reports, ask you to re-inspect, or give feedback.
10. Liability
You are responsible for the accuracy of your reports and for your conduct during visits. If a report you file is false or careless and this causes loss, you may have to reimburse the fee and compensate the loss, as the law allows. Nothing here limits liability that the law doesn't allow to be limited.
11. Ending
You can stop accepting jobs or close your broker account at any time; complete or release accepted jobs first. We may suspend or end your approval if you break these terms, your association approval lapses, or your reports are unreliable — immediately for fraud, bribery or false reports. Fees for completed jobs are paid after ending.
12. Changes, law and contact
We may change these terms with at least 14 days' notice in the app and by email. These terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes are resolved as set out in the Terms of use. Questions: broker support in the app. Grievance officer: [Grievance officer's name — to be added], grievance@qwikstone.com.
